Rambus LED Light Bulb

At the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas, innovative technology solutions firm Rambus has introduced its new line of highly efficient, long lasting and innovative LED light bulbs. The revolutionary Rambus LED light bulb offers the light output of a traditional bulb, coupled with the energy efficiency, durability and reliability of advanced LED and optical technology. The highlight is an A19, 60-watt equivalent, which consumes to one-quarter the power of the traditional incandescent bulbs and lasts up to 25 times longer.

The new bulbs use Rambus’ MicroLens optical technology, which enables the use of a cylindrical light guide, producing a consistent, spherical distribution of light. This open structure uses convection in a novel way to keep the bulb cool. MicroLens optics offers an economical, high performance and low risk solution for general lighting and backlighting displays. The new Rambus LED bulbs will be made available within Q2 2013.
