Perfect8 Technologies The Point MKII Evolution

At the CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Swedish high-end audio manufacturer PERFECT8 Technologies will be introducing the redesigned, ultra high-end “The Point MkII Evolution” glass loudspeakers. The redesigned luxury glass speaker feature a brand new custom air motion transducer optimized for dipole applications, which accounts for higher resolution and micro detail, thereby offering stunning imaging and realism. It also boasts a smaller subwoofer enclosure without making any compromise with the low frequency response.

The 10″ drivers complement the performance of the dipole panel with deep, extended and ultra controlled bass. The same has been achieved with record low mechanical losses, decreased distortion, increased excursion and ultra-stiff aluminum cones driven by an oversized 22 lbs magnet. The drivers get their juice from DSP-controlled class D amps that blend seamlessly into the glass subwoofer enclosure.

There is no word on pricing as of now, but if you are interested, be ready to spend some good bucks to own this beautiful glass loudspeaker. Do check out our list of some of the most expensive speakers for the affluent audiophiles.
