The Hobbit House

It appears that the Hobbit Holes by Wooden Wonders are just not good enough to impress this Pennsylvania resident who has built himself a real-life Hobbit house to store his huge collection of Tolkien memorabilia. The anonymous fan hired architects Archer & Buchanan for the construction of his 600-square foot real-life Shire, which he calls “The Hobbit House” with great pride. The owner is an avid and serious collector of J.R.R. Tolkien books, manuscripts and artifacts.

Interestingly, this Hobbit House is not a direct imitation of Bilbo Baggin’s house, and has been designed and constructed with a fresh approach. The highlights like the big round Spanish cedar door, handmade clay roof tiles and an arched butterfly window, which draw inspiration from the drawings done by J.R.R. Tolkien himself. The amazing Hobbit House is located in Chester Country, Pennsylvania.
