Mother’s womb inspired Datteren offers feeling of security and nearness

An upshot of collaboration between Christina Hansen from Kolding School of Design and Kerstin Kongsted from Aarhus School of Architecture, the Datteren (Daughter in English) is an inviting, relaxing piece of furniture that draws inspiration from mother’s womb. The project was designed on the basis of the abstract word “body container” and to give the thought a real shape, the team turned to mother’s womb, the first body container that we come across as human beings.

Offering a feeling of security and nearness, Datteren comes crocheted in a soft, organic material, which lets the user adjust and interact with the furniture piece in various ways to suit their needs.

Great list man! These appliances are must have to every modern kitchen. One appliance I can suggest to the list are kitchen pop-up power outlets like this http://power-tower.com.au/product/powertower/ for charging or providing power outlets to kitchen appliances.

Nice try, the original design from which this fixture is derived is from Toronto CASTOR DESIGNS. Your ripped off version doesn’t allow light to glow to the ends of the tubes.

So where do I buy one?
