This Halloween, Dallas Arboretum is making it ‘big’ with the Pumpkin Village that makes use of more than 50,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. The astounding Cinderella-themed pumpkin village has been made with 45 diverse varieties of pumpkin and gourd. Based on this year’s “It’s a Fairy Tale World” theme, Cinderella’s Pumpkin Village features four houses inspired by the famous fairytale. Made with 1,200 pumpkins and gourds, the houses portray Cinderella’s ballroom, Cinderella’s rooms, her stepsisters and the Fairy Godmother’s home.

While children will have all the fun while visiting these houses, the construction details are sure to woo adults. Remaining pumpkins can be found everywhere at the Arboretum, near the entrance, at the Paseo de Flores and across the Women’s Garden. The Dallas Arboretum also has a white Cinderella’s Carriage that flaunts gold detailing and stands six feet tall. The beautiful carriage is pulled by two full-size topiary horses.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is located on the southeastern shore of White Rock in East Dallas. The festive activities at the “Autumn at the Arboretum (Sep. 17- Nov 23)” include Great Pumpkin Search, Cinderella’s Fairy Tale Scavenger Hunt, Hay Bale Maze and many other special events for children and adults.
