Despite the global economic despondency, property rates all over the world (especially Western countries) are on a high, thanks to boom in the real estate market that has emerged as one of the safest and profitable endeavors in past one decade. According to The Standard, a London house located on Carlton House Terrace is set to break Britain’s price record with a price tag of £250 million ($381 million).
The jaw-dropping price is not the only factor which makes the Carlton House Terrace property vital, but the adjacent Queen’s palace and views of St. James Park turns it into a one of the most sought after properties in Central London, which will allow the residents to boast the Queen as a neighbor. Designed by John Nash and built between 1827 and 1832, the townhouse is one of the largest private residences in London.
Though the new residents won’t be able to enjoy modern amenities, like swimming pool, in the 50,000-square-foot dwelling, but I’m sure they will definitely enjoy and cherish the memories of sharing the neighborhood with the Queen throughout their lives.
